2011 front end replacement on a 2006?

The Excursion will be getting a TON of work done to it including swapped over to diesel when I put the 11 clip on it.

So you had to cut the frame on the front of your truck when you put the 11 clip on?

Any chance you have pics you could post up of different stages of the conversion?

And that Emblem in your avatar is sweet!! Where did you get that made up if you don't mind me asking?

Yes I had to cut the top edge of the front frame off for grill clearance and correct bumper height.I kept the cut off piece incase I ever had to weld it back on.I do have the conversion process on other powerstroke forums with pics.I've been posting it on a few forums because I want people to know it can be done.I might start a thread in this forum on it but I'm not sure yet sonce its on other ford forum sites.
As for the emblems I use to make them and sell them but nobody wanted to pay what I was asking for the set.($95.00 +$5.00s/h)

Just out of curiosity could you not modify the parts around the frame? I'd hate to cut the frame...

Nope it wont fit without cutting.Ford dropped front frame rails lower from 2008 on.I think because of safety reasons,incase you rearend a small car the bumpers have a better chance hitting each other if it lower so the front of your truck doesnt end up in the small cars backside.Thats my guess why they lower it.
The tow hooks that bolt onto the frame from 2008-2013 are what the front bumper bolts to.There is a mounting bracket that comes off each tow hook that the bumper mounts to.This is how all the 2008-2013 f250/f350 come new.I think its not as strong as 99.5-2007's where the bumper is mounted to a bracket thats part of the frame.Thats why you see so many bent up 2008-2012 front tow hooks for sale on ebay,they are from a truck that hit something with the front bumper.

well i finally got the bumpers on the truck. still need to wire up the back up lights and will probably be going to led style for them. also need to touch them up but all scuffed up like they are i doubt any one will want to tail galte or have me close behind them since they look like they have been used to negotiate traffic

I have a 2000 Excursion that I want to add a 2014 front clip. Does anybody know the price of that clip at the dealer is?

at the dealer will be insane i have a 2012 on 26s and i also have an 03 on 26s.i will be doing the 2015 conversion on my 03.i already have a lot of parts for the conversion.i have the mirrors,bumpers,grill,bed,tail lights,dash and all the wiring and the list goes on.i'm going to use it as my shop truck to show the products that i can build for these trucks if you guys would like to see pics just let me know.the 2012 is bigboss and the 03 is fatbastard i can also do these conversions and do them the right way.i use the 08 front sub frame but if you want the dash and everything to work then you need to get the complete 6.4 wiring and it gets intense to say the least.

Has anyone here done a 08 to 11 front clip conversion? I started mine today but hit a bump finding a way to mount the grille. This Is my first post ever on this page so If Im doing something wrong I apologize, thanks.
