From my understanding now, there is no more unlocking these tuners. There must have been someone hacking the 109007 tuner to turn it into a 109003 tuner. Hence the reason they went to the 209007 that according to bentley doesnt even have the high sulfur tunes to hack into. The way I see it is that the EPA may have one, it may take a few months to run out of hackable 109007 and left over 109003's but were f'd after that. :(

you can't turn a 109007 into a 109003

the high sulfur tuning has been hacked on the 109007 but that doesn't make it a 109003

I might be confused then, what is the difference between a 109007 that is hacked to run high sulfur race tunes compared to a 109003 that comes with the race tunes?

I get that but they only called them a street tuner because the tunes were street legal dpf present tunes, all you needed was an unlock code or hacker to get at the dpf off tunes and make it a race tuner basically making it a 109003.

LOL I have thought about that lots of times but I am almost 100%. I will either have a new truck that can't be deleted at all or there will be another way around it.

I really hope so my man. I will never be able to drive a diesel with all the emissions on it. Just feels wrong. And Im not happy unless I add a bunch of aftermarket parts to a vehicle. Always been that way. Not sure why. I havent really heard of any cases of the H&S tuners going bad but I dunno. I feel like it out in the sun on my dash everyday cant be good for it. I bet the xrt would have lasted longer....

how difficult is it to comprehend that both model numbers have offroad tunes on them? one requires an unlock code to access them. it doesn't change the model number!!

a 109003 WILL NOT WORK on 2013/2014 Fords!!!!!!!! and requires a $100 VIN specific code to work on 2011-2012.

Street tuner and Race tuner are MODEL NAMES. Just because you unlock the tuning, it doesn't magically turn into a different part number or model name just like that big set of truck nutz on your back bumper doesn't magically turn your truck into an F650

Rudy's and many other vendor's sell their 109003 tuners as compatible with a 11-13 6.7 plus I heard from a salesmen at Rudys these will work on a 13. I realize street and race tuner is a model name. As far as the part numbers go, a 109003 is a race tuner that doesn't need a high sulfur unlock code to run dirty tunes this tuner is not in production, a 109007 is a street tuner that runs clean tunes but needs a high sulfur unlock code to run dirty tunes this tuner is also discontinued. This tuner was hacked by someone that could get to the dirty tunes without applying to the epa for offroad tunes, virtually making it a pre ban tuner. Now the only mini maxx left to buy is a 209007, this is the current production model. This tuner can not be hacked to run dirty tunes as the offroad tunes are not even on the tuner. So basically there is none left.

That's what I have been trying to explain, the only street tuners being unlocked are the 109007. That is all over as supposedly the epa found out that someone was unlocking them thus they made hs change their tuners so that the only tunes on the tuner are street tunes. The race tunes are no longer on the tuner so you can't use an unlock code to access them. That is the primary difference between 109007 and 209007. The 209007 only comes with street tunes, to get the race tunes you have to apply to the epa get the okay then buy an international tuner. At least this is what Bentley from HS said, which I would think is a very reliable source. I'm sure someone will find a way to buy international tuners but I want to play it safe and will probably just buy a pre ban tuner.

The race tunes are still on the street tuners. Even the 2 series. You just can't access them.

If you are using the vehicle in the United States, it is ILLEGAL to remove emissions equipment without EPA approval.

Rather than looking at is as a "Race" tuner, let's look at part numbers:

Part # 109003 is NOT compatible with the 2013-2014 Power Stroke. This device IS capable of removing emissions straight out of the box. This device REQUIRES additional unlock purchased for 2011-2012 PowerStroke tuning (HERE) AND 2011-2013 LML DPF REMOVED tuning (HERE).

Part # 109007 IS compatible with the 2013-2014 Power Stroke. No extra unlock codes are necessary for any basic vehicle tuning. Emissions removed tuning must be unlocked via a High Sulfur Unlock. Unlocks can be obtained only from H&S Performance using their High Sulfur Application. Any vehicle being used in the United States will be denied access to high sulfur tuning unless they have EPA approval.

Part # 209007 IS compatible with the 2013-2014 Power Stroke. There are no High Sulfur or emissions removal capabilities on this device. For a high sulfur device, you must apply through the High Sulfur Application and once approved you can purchase a special "International" device (309017) that is compatible with high sulfur fuel.

Part numbers should be clearly printed on all H&S boxing. If you do not have your original boxing, or you question what part number your device may be, please contact H&S tech support. 888-628-1730

Looks like you can't hack the 209007's. So stupid!
