LOL at you guys wishing bad luck on the 7.3, and bashing dan for showing up with a lifted truck. Incase no one saw dpc 2012 eric brought a BIGGER truck with nothing ground breaking under the hood and still won. If ford wins with what we brought to the table more power to us so why can't you be happy and cheer the ford crew on regardless of what they showed up with? Just a thought

We can toss the 7.3 out, the greatest 7.3 out there would finish just ahead of all the broke trucks. Dan's truck needs a massive amount of luck to perform. A new build on any truck needs time.

I really don't think anyone was dogging Dan's truck. A huge truck is not ideal for a competition truck though, plain and simple.

Being dead under 2500rpms is terrible.... That elevation really kills these trucks, glad i live at sea level!

I'm not knocking the 7.3 at all. I'm saying a capable, reliable big power truck as far as JD should be in. just my opinion.

if the guy wins or does well I'll be stoked for him regardless. I'm just saying I think a manual 7.3 getting voted in over a few others was kinda weird. either way. goodluck to all.

I understand what you are saying for sure!!! I completely agree. about JD pickup being a better bet so to speak. I just have a hard time sitting by seeing the 7.3 knocked so bad. That's all. But hey beech won with what? 700 to 750 HP last year?? To me a lower HP pickup that is sound has a better chance of winning then a dyno queen like the chevy and dodge guys like to bring..

Maybe JD can enter next year? That would be sweet! His pickup is proven and that what we need in there.

The 7.3 being voted in is what it is. I just don't get why all the Ford guys out there would pick the fat kid first for the team. You would think they want to be competitive.
