Lets hope Ryan puts his bmx skillz to the test in the trailer pull. Never met him but holy **** I feel like I'm rooting for my brother in a baseball game.

I can't help but notice the size of the fords and the size of the rest of the trucks.
The big tires and lift kits definitely aren't helping.

Those mods are definitely a hinderance... Hopefully people take notes and enter next year with milder appearance packages. Non the less those appearance mods aren't such a handicap that all hope is lost after one event lol.

Problem is, if you built a truck specifically for DPC, you would probably never get voted in.. It's a catch 22 for sure

I understand that, hence why the DPC was originated as a daily driver comp. Regular daily drivers are predominately similar to stock hight, tire size and 4wd rather then raised up on 40's or a lowered 2wd. How many big lifted Dodges and Chev/GMC's are there in the DPC? Very few.

I know a 2wd could clean up in a couple of the comps but would **** the bed in a couple too... Just like a big heavy truck does. Biggest difference is a 2wd is considerably less hard on parts and has a better chance of finishing lol.

JD for example. Not built specifically for DPC. But it's stock height, close to stock size tires if not stock size tires. It's tuned an driven at the altitude and even the track they're using for DPC. He knows how to make his truck grip on that track. I'm not saying there's not any better trucks out there because I know there are higher powered trucks in the competition. But I feel being tuned and driven at that altitude would have been a big help in the competition. And JD keeps popping back up in conversations. Sorry bud.

Yep, but the majority love their big lifted trucks. Wes has a huge advantage here, I'm excited to see what he does from here on out.

Very true. Some look better with a small lift. Personally I'm a leveled on 350 rear blocks guy, not lifted. Good luck to the boys in the challenge. Bring home the big trophy again for the house.

Guaranteed most people on these diesel forums have no idea what a good(as far as diesel trucks go) handling trucks is really about... Nothing personal guys and girls... It's just simple physics.

Yeah I went from an s2000 to an f250. I'm lowered on 20x12s and 420s and must say it's kinda fun to come sideways out of some turns in a 7400lb truck.

That upper shroud?

That little piece does that much?

The shroud that bolts to the engine and basically makes the fan useful. It a full 360 around the fan blade. It was not installed.:badidea:
