Same thing as having a VP pumped dodge or a 6.5 Chevy in the competition... Funny for us to watch, kind of a joke for those respective brands.

I'm gonna have to argue the Vp part jd. I've seen a Vp truck run high 10s and be very drivable. Friend of mine built it in his driveway and it was very reliable. It wasn't your average Vp truck though.

s363/s478 doesn't seem that big for a 7.3 but I don't know much about picking a turbo for one

Its not big at sea level. But at 6000ft above sea level it needs a butload of nitrous to make power

Let's not lump the 7.3 in a 6.5 comparison. LOL gotta at least give it some credit there. Haha But I definitely agree. There were more worthy contenders available.

I saw more people asking how the OBS did than anything else though. Goes to show the voting fan base.

David's 7.3 is in the same boat... it would be a 10 second truck as well, but that is only one event of the competition.

Yeah the 6.4s are hard to beat in everything besides the mpg event. Wish you got in it man.

Like I said cool truck, and probably even a cool dude, but Fords are already the underdog and it sucks to see one of our spots given to a truck that isn't going to run with the big dogs.

If Dan had lowered that truck and gone to some stock sized tires and gutted it, I could see where it being a lighter truck could be an advantage. Dyno and sled pull are the only events where being a manual might not hurt him and he is 400hp short of the other trucks that will do very well sled pulling.

Shilo's truck is gonna be a one trick pony as well (if you will) sled pulls and trailer competitions will be a joke.

Not a horrible day for fords..tomorrows events will show their true power and potential. They usually do well in the trailer events and sled pull.

edit: I guess the sled pull is the third day.

now our boys have to place close to the top or better the rest of the way out. that trailer obstacle is always a maker for someone. the big trucks that come out hard always do well in the 1/8th trailer tow and sled pull ..gonna have to rely on those ones. the drag strip will not be a place to shine.
