I have dealt with Eric on lots of tunes for 6.0 and 6.4, they always do great and are good to deal with.
Until Friday I had never dealt with pip but man they impressed me. I had ordered a pip tuner for a customer and was told truck was a 14. When the truck showed up it was a 15. I called pip at 3:40 friday evening, David hooked me up. He emailed me the tunes I needed a little after 4:00 and didn't charge me a dime, even though I didn't buy it directly from him. I'm sure as dedicated as they seem to customer service they will get it resolved.

BTW, this truck was definitely not a turd, it ripped on level 3. Didn't want to beat on the customers truck, only has 6k miles on it so I didn't load 4. My customer was happy and I was impressed.

That seems to be the consensus for the most part that pip tuning runs good on most 15's. But their tuning certainly did not work well on my truck. It just wasn't fueling for some reason. Not just off the bottom but also while cruising. That's why it kept feeling like it was hitting a wall and requiring more and more throttle to get it to go. I got to admit I called pip before purchasing their tunes and David spent a good 15 minutes talking to me and answered all my questions. When I first presented the problem to David on may 1st with the truck not performing well and also getting the p0402 code even with v7 tunes he made a change and had a tune to me the next day but it didn't fix my fueling issues. I then e-mailed him that the truck still had issues and waited 2 days I heard nothing back. So I called him and he said he did get the e-mail but didn't understand how my truck was not running right. He said no one else has reported any issues like mine and he said maybe there was a problem with my truck. He said he had seen a few lift pumps go bad on the 15's. That's the last I have heard from David even after sending him links this thread and asking for his input over 6 days ago.

So this is why I created this thread in the first place was to see what others were experiencing. Turns out a lot of guys had bad lag and some bad shifts but didn't think it was a big issue. I think the guys that now also got Idp tunes now know the truck wasn't performing like it should have been. It seems my truck had more going on than just lag compared to others. So I am a little disappointed that I was just treated like I was either just being picky, full of it or that my truck had issues. After trying the idp race tune the truck runs and shifts great now so I hope pip gets their tunes fixed. I would like to think that i didn't just throw $400 in tunes down the toilet.

Not sure about the control module error , but I know in the past that's a code that will go away on its own. As for the intake code , sct is updating the firmware so going forward the code fix will be thru an update on your device.

What does sct have to do with fixing the code? Wouldn't Eric have to fix that in his tune since its a custom tune?

So you guys that are having tuning issues is this with the tow tunes or the high hp tunes? I didn't read all 15 page so I am just curious.

I want to tune but I don't want the high hp tunes. I might use them occasionally but not as a daily driver tune.

I have heard that IDP has the tunes but am just trying to get as much info as possible before tuning. Thanks.

Here is my records, better rpms than my previous tune on extreme(it would go higher) and egts are lower, and boost is the same, but is there quicker. Again this is the hot street tune. Beyond happy!

Holy boost....

Definitely gotta look into it but I'm pretty happy so far with PIP. Is there anything past hot street?

Extreme Race
I was playing today...saw a max of 38psi on the Street file. It was a hot, humid phucker down here today too.

Mine was tagged on the dealers lot in May of 14. I'm assuming that's pretty early but I've never looked. I bought it in Nov 14....I think that's part of the reason I got such a good deal on it. LOL
Where's that build date sticker

So here is a new video as promised. Showing the Innovative tune from a wot standing start. This is "Race" their hottest tune. I would say there is just a weebit difference in low boost fueling compared to the pip. I also added a 30" tft resonator so the innovative run is quieter.

Smokewise my V7 performance tune is about the same as the IDP tune in your vid.
I'll be home tomorrow and if the weather is ok I'll try and get a vid. Could you get a 0-60 vid with your new tunes?

Is it certain PCM/TCM strategies on the 15's that are having problems or is it just some trucks don't like certain files?
