Are you gonna end up building the trans also?

I don't have a choice. It will barely hold past 1/4 throttle.

So you cant even test the damn thing bc your trans slips

and tease me with a video lol

It will be up and running in a week! Don't you worry. I can't have it down for long.

Guys just from some easy driving this thing spools very, very good. Pretty much as quick and responsive as the 64. Very impressed so far.

Unfortunately the Trans now slips the tc in 5th and 6th. I can't even load it past 20psi without it slipping.

On a good note it sounds like a mix of deeper 6.0 powermax exhaust and 6.4 max-power whistle inside the cab.

Basically whistle city all the time lol.

Get that trans built and gets some vids up Morgan. The 68 sounds wicked.

So what mods exactly are you running to get over 600? 68mm, and modded Fuel Pump? Or just factory 15 pump? Do you feel that the rods will be safer with the 68 over the 64?

he did over 600 with the 64 and factory 15 pump.

For the rods I would guess just live everything else its all in the tuning. I think Morgans 64 had the factory turbine yet where this 68 has a bigger turbine wheel so it could probably spool quicker depending on the tuning.

Morgan correct me if I am wrong I am trying to learn and its just kinda what I figured after I've been reading

The 64mm with 2015 factory pump, SS piping kit, big down pipe, no-limit cai, wastegate and tuning.

The 68 I just put in. It hasn't even seen wot because the trans is slipping.

The rods will not be safer with the 68 vs 64. They both spool about the same. I don't have ANY data on the 68 because it has only drove 10 miles at best. All I can say is ebp may be a hair bit lower but I have no idea until I get a trans in there that holds power. But to answer your question, the 68 is going to make a lot more power, with added fuel pushing close to 700hp, no, I doubt it's better on rods. The 64 will make less power and doesn't spool any quicker so I don't see any issues with rods at all. I am going to be beating my truck with big pumps and 68 or 71 mm turbo. But I'd like to keep it together if at all possible. So I will be monitoring everything and keeping everything in the safest zone possible. We all know that adding fuel and power levels 700+ are pushing the safe zone way past its limits.

But only time will tell. I will report back more as I get stuff done.

Morgan, would there be significant HP increase switching from an AFE intake to the No Limit if I put the Streetmax on my 15?

I mean the physical sensor. A 7.3 ebp and tube or something else?

It's a 100psi sensor from the edge expansion pack that I fabricated a tube and welded into the exhaust so I could have a reading.

In the dyno testing that colecoop did, he switched from an afe stage 2 to no-limit and gained 24 hp iirc. So yes you should.

You will also gain up to 60 ft lbs of torque throughout the power band. I could immediately feel the difference when I switched to the No limit intake. I still need to get back to a dyno to see what the 64mm street max is putting down on my truck.

Just to be clear, 24 hp with the same tune?

If so wow.
