They have tried running with the GH trans file I had loaded with no luck, they tried with no tune just base file with no luck, they had it reflashed in a sense with the Ford program with no luck, and now it is at a trans shop that has been able to get the TCM to go back to stock. Local dealers use this shop when they have this issue, supposedly 3 trucks there along with mine to get this "magic flash". We'll see.

What exactly is the trans doing? I read where you said it was having issues, but not exactly what the issues were.

Not sure if it will help, because I am not sure what your issue was. But I switched tune writers to try some new tunes on my truck and it caused MAJOR ISSUES! Trans was shifting weird and slipping. I tried switching back to my TSD tunes that worked perfect before but I still had issues. I was having all sorts of issues but 2-3 and 4-5 were the WORST. Trans would shift flair BAD, sometimes bouncing of the rev limiter.

I tried changing solenoids, fluid, new tunes, etc... no luck.

I finally took it to a buddy at Ford. He went in an reset everything in the trans and put it into relearn mode again. I loaded up my original tunes that had worked perfect from the beginning and after about 10 miles of driving everything was back to normal.

I had the exact same thing. 1-2 and 3-4 were bad and 5-6 was starting to flare and shift poorly. A buddy of mine has the tool to wipe the TCM and the shop got a file from the Ford dealer to load once the TCM was wiped and they went relearn from there. Made it a few miles before it acted up again. Starting to think the trans didn't NEED a rebuild and I should have replaced the TCM back when I wanted to when this all started. Might have saved me several grand.

Just FYI... I had to drive about 10 miles before it started to relearn the shifts and fix everything.

Ouch..[/QUOTE

New valve body,6 new solenoids, and hours of tuning calibrating later the transmission is normal. I went to the shop that built the trans to discover what the other shop couldn't tell me. Was nice to talk to someone who knew their stuff. 4/5/6 clutch packs were toast and he said line pressure was off the charts. So bad the drums were showing signs of fatigue. They did what they could the complete the relearn process but never got to get it out on the road to stretch the legs so I did it for them and it seems pretty good now. Totally different transmission. Will drive the piss out of it for the next week and will never load a transmission tune again, all engine files for me from here on out. :) The transmission guy was impressed with the Suncoast stuff.

I went ahead and purchased a Suncoast trans and their converter for my '15 about 6 months ago.Installed it at a friends shop.I have over 30k miles on it.Never misses a beat.Luckily I have a Ford tech friend that brought over IDS from his dealership to Flash the TCM w valve body stategy.

kina strange to drive and not have the ridiculous shifts that I have learned to deal with over the last 18 months. Impressive the thing was still pulling 15k pounds like a champ with how bad the internals had gotten.
