2wd and leaf springs for the track

Since you are apart I would go to the 08+ stuff. They have less of an arch and seem to compress (transfer) better then the shorter 05-07 springs. You could definitely get it a scosch lower with the 08-10. I'm running the 4 main leafs with the bottom overload removed and a 5" pmf block. Pmf hanger kit is a few hundred or you can cut the rivets and move the stock mount forward (what I did).

Now I am looking to tires/slicks. There are slim pickings for 16" and 17" wheels. Most end up being too big or too small for our application.

Assuming the truck ends up around 6000-6500lbs... we are going to want to be in the 120-130mph range at the track. So with 3.73 gears that would leave me with about a 29-31" tire.

Anybody have any suggestions on tire size/brand?
Anybody know how much has to be trimmed to fit 16" wheels on a 2005+ superduty?

We used to have M&H Drag Radials.
