Hey guys. 2013 Dually (3.73) H&S tuned, deleted on 34.5's (295 60 20). The truck is pulling 90% of its life. Typically 16-18,000lbs trailer weight.
It pulls great, but tuned and deleted with the larger tires is not quite as strong as stock tires with no tune. I find myself having to pull at 75+mph to keep it in the sweet spot where it will actually stay in 6th. That's a bit faster than I'd prefer. I wish I would bought a 450, but too late for that.
Two choices..4.30 gears and/or 2015 turbo.
The gears would likely do more for me and get the rpm around 2000-2100 cruising at 65-70, but then I'm still left with a failure prone stock turbo.
Dyno chart shows the 2015 turbo making 100lbs more tq at 2000rpm. Do you guys believe that?
I considered just buying a 2015 450, but I've put too much into this one.
3m, Titan tank, leveling kit, tires/rims, tune, delete, air bags, compressor, goosneck blacked out bumpers, grill surround, etc, etc. I've only got 16,000 miles on mine.
