I started to notice it at around 2k. It is definately worse when I am towing and it seems to do it all the time. I haven't had time to drop it off at ford yet. SRW long bed here.

Everyone of our 2010+ newer trucks have had this hop.

Matt Meyer and I fought trying to get this taken out of both his and my vehicles.

Its hell if you get on a washboard, I've literally almost gotten motion sick

OUO traction bars made it 100x better on both of our trucks, and then, we both moved up to a 2.5" shock, and it cured both trucks.

I know Matt's fiance was even happy.. and she hates when I make him spend moneY!

you saying a stiffer shock helped? or you had a lift with stock shocks and then put the correct shocks on?

Stiffer shock definitely helped, but keeping the rear axle from flopping around nonstop was the biggest noticeable change.
thats what I was wondering. I can jump on the back of my truck like a trampoline. When im under it I can bench press it up about 4-5 inches. I cant move any of my other trucks up an inch like that... would an air shock of some sort help or go to a older model shock? or even stiffer rear springs? eventually i WILL have ouo's but I can't right now.. good ole IRS is a big ole meany head...

In all of the reading I have done so far, and as near as I can tell, this issue started when they changed to coil spring fronts with the 6.0.... I dont know if that is just coincidence or not but I haven't read much about 7.3s having this issue till after 150k miles.. hell my dually rides better then this truck.. if it would run...... lol

You are probably right on the coil spring era being the start of the hop. As I don't remember my 2001 7.3 doing that but that was a while back though.
