what all needs to be done. i know a few things. (pcs controller,v10 4r100, 5r110 range sensor, and outputshaft on transfer case). my trans is on its way out. im looking to for a built trans and would rather have a trans that can shift faster and simpler, as im looking to spray into the 700hp range. i need indepth instructions on the wireing for pcs and the fab work if theres any.

No need to change the flex plate stock one works just fine. Who's building your 4r ? As far as anything you missed you have to drill the bottom holes out on the trans. You don't use the the top holes at all

Do you mean drill and elongate the bottom holes or drill new bottom holes?

I've never heard of "drilled" holes being necessary on a modular case except on the top two if you wanted them, the rest should have been a direct fit.

.

Well I know I had to drill the bottom hole on mine to make it would and I'm almost 100% sure you have to to make them work on a 6.4 to maybe Craig or one of the 6.4 guys will had some info on drilling holes. I had the same question when I put mine in so I called mpd and that's what they said so I went with what they said.

I am one of the 6.4 guys and I am the guy that helped put a 4r in Craig's truck, that's why I'm asking you what you did. I have yet to hear from one of many people who have done this swap that you have to drill new holes in the modular case for the whole trans to bolt up. The only holes I was aware of that needed to be drilled new were the top two, but most chose to leave those empty since the others can handle the case load just fine.

I'll talk to Craig and josh and see if they can shed some light on this. It was a couple of years ago when Craig did the swap so maybe I'm mistaken

Sorry didnt know you were a 6.4 guy. But like I said I'm about 100% sure Craig told me to drill the two bottom hole in the case out bc we didn't use the top like you said. If you could talk to Craig sometime and just double check that'd be great it been about two year for mine being in but still sure we had to.drill two bottom hole

The casing of the modular 4R is tapped on the bottom two holes, so you need to drill the back plate of the 6.0/6.4 and put the bolts in the other way.

Couldn't you just drill the 4R100 case out instead and use the stock bolts then, rather than drilling the motor plate out and treading bolts in the opposite way?
