Well guys, I've got a dozen or so cold starts on this thing now and I can say the archoil 9100 works GREAT! Much better than the last time I used Rev-X. The only thing now... is to see if it lasts through an entire oil change. I've noticed with my FICM tunes installed that the injectors really don't buzz a lot when I first turn the key, but it still fires right up, falls to a perfect idle and is REALLY quiet at idle now. I can turn the key, fire it up, drop it in drive and go, with NO stiction at all. Granted, it's been warmer up this way, but we are looking at high 30's and low 40's for the lows for the weekend, so it should be a good indicator. So far, very pleased with the Archoil. I will report back as I get more miles on it.

I do notice the slightest puff of smoke when I first fire it now. It only lasts 1 or 2 seconds, but I can't help but wonder if that's a cause of the FICM programmer. Been meaning to uninstall it to see if there is a change.

Another point worth noting, since the change to T6 and Archoil 9100, I've noticed a 2-3* drop in EOT. Nothing huge, but just something I've noticed.

Guess I will be ordering some when I get mine back. Sounds like a no brainer.

ok, I'm looking at this for a while now and I can say now for sure that the archoil 2300 cleaner product works well. I got it added for 2000miles now and lets just say it worked so well that my stiction went away and the trucks run smoother in general. EOT's dropped a little as well from the better all around performance, I guess. Next thing is, Jason at G-Racing is awesome to deal with and I can recomand him for anything you might need. I'll keep you posted as soon as I change oil and put the 9100 in.

I'm surprised, I didn't notice a lick of difference from the 2300. Not to say it didn't clean anything out, but my stiction didn't get any better or worse that's for sure.

Mike, did the 2300 do anything for you?

Also something else worth mentioning, Mike (Snake) and I talked about... the 2300 doesn't have a seal on the bottle under the cap, it's normal so don't worry about it. The 9100 was sealed though.

I've noticed minor improvements, but they're not significant enough for me to recommend the 2300 to others. YET.

I really need to put some more miles on the truck. LOL

What if you're not supposed to notice a difference with 2300 alone?

That was my thought. I can't honestly say if it did anything or not, but I'm not sure I was supposed to actually notice anything or not either. Oil analysis would be the best route here to see what comes out with the oil after the cleaning period.

Mike - right there with you. I don't know what, if anything, I should see.

But I will send the analysis in (oil with 2300 in it). I'm still undecided on how many miles to put on the oil before sending the sample in though. Thoughts from the group? 1000 miles? 3000 miles? 5000 miles (next oil change)?

Id probably go middle of the road 3000. Not too soon for the 2300 to work yet not so long that the oil itself breaks down.

I only ran mine for 2k miles and drained it. Probably too soon, but I didn't want to leave the old oil in very long considering the heads were just off of it.

Ideally the more OA the better, that way you can see if it's working and continues to work, or if it's done doing it's thing in the first 1000 miles... no real way of knowing without a ton of OA samples. So much easier spending your money Mike LOL When do you normally do oil changes? 5k? Go 1/2 way and see what it says. 2500 miles. Let the OA tell you whether or not to change it. Don't forget to include that when you send it in that you're running the 2300 so they know what they're looking at. I wonder if they need a clean sample to compare?

I usually change at 5k miles. I'll send in samples every 500 miles if folks Paypal me enough $$ to support it. LOL

I was actually wondering what an analysis like that costs? I'd like to do the same when I get mine back.
