Have you seen a drop in coolant temps from the radiator? If so how much?
Are you mishimoto radiator hoses thicker than stock? or have better grip?

Travis, the mishimoto hoses are better than stock in the sense that the ply rating is different (less resistant to tearing) the grip will only be as good as the surface they are being applied to.

Your temps shouldn't drop much as your thermostat is controlling that. But your temps should be more stable due to the "more effective cooling" of the mishimoto

bro, wtf is better grip. That **** gets clamped down. But anyways, mishimoto's radiator hoses are a large upgrade over stock.

You know how stock intercooler boots are really slippery? They just slide around on the pipe. And then you buy those mbrp or mishimoto intercooler boots and tube? And they are made with a different material, or i guess its a thicker "ply" and those stick great to the new intercooler pipe.

I was wondering if its the same situation? Like if any coolant gets under the tube will it get slippery? I guess he answered it for me. He said they are a thicker ply so they dont get worn down as easy. Just in case there is pressure build up they dont blow off. Even though there shouldnt be that much pressure build up if your truck is modified correctly.

They are silicone. If you are blowing radiator hoses off you have much more serious things to be worrying about. Either way they are much nicer than stock.

That answered my question. If they were better than stock in that sense.

And i dont have that problem with my hoses, but the mishimoto distributor said they have had insisdents with 6.0s blowing off stock hoses.

The easiest answer is, if you want the best, then just get the mishi rad hoses and call it a day.

What do yall think about the intercooler? Do you think it improves cfm. Or does it just improve efficency?

I have their intercooler in my truck. It works great. They have a video on their site installing one in my truck and having it on the dyno.

I just ordered the Mishimoto Radiator from InMotionJosh yesterday at 1830 Eastern time. It was delivered today at 12:30 talk about fast shipping and service. Thank you sir can't wait to get this on the truck. Now debating on putting in a new thermostat with this as well. any insight from the guys I see BPD sells a 160 a 180 and a 195. The truck will be spending the majority of it's life in NC so normal climates no extreme heat or extreme cold. Thanks

Huh?! new stock boots arent "slippery". any boot that gets oil or coolant on it will not hold as well.

also-how does a boot get "worn down"

Are you mishimoto radiator hoses thicker than stock? or have better grip?

We have yet to collect data regarding coolant temperatures for this particular radiator. You should expect more efficient cooling during harsh driving conditions such as in warm climates and/or towing a large load. Our full aluminum construction not only provides improved durability, but also provides improved heat dissipation.

Our radiator hoses are constructed from 4-ply silicone. They are able to withstand greater heat and pressures compared to the factory rubber counterparts.

Sounds like you may have additional concerns with the truck if you are consistently blowing off radiator hoses. It may be wise to check for pressure issues within the cooling system.

The easiest answer is, if you want the best, then just get the mishi rad hoses and call it a day.

Thanks for the kind words!

What do yall think about the intercooler? Do you think it improves cfm. Or does it just improve efficency?

We designed this intercooler to reduce intake temperatures and provide a more durable solution for trucks runner higher boost pressures. The cast end tanks provides improved flow and are nearly indestructible. Our bar-and-plate core is highly efficient and provides impressive heat transfer improvements on both stock and modified trucks. These improvements will also have an impact on EGT's.

I have their intercooler in my truck. It works great. They have a video on their site installing one in my truck and having it on the dyno.

I will go to their site then and check that out. Ive seen the installation video. i havent seen the dyno video....

Check it out!

The stock boots got
more slick when the oil is underneath. thats what troubles i had. And the pipe kept blowing off. Exspecially when boost pressure would get high and i would let off the pedal.

I tried the cheap way to do it, and used sand paper on the pipe temporary until i recieved my mbrp pipe, and boots. which were thicker and thicker ply. The boot was thickier and the pipe had a larger diameter and funneld down with the new boot i got.
