What options are out there for heads?

This truck will be a totally different animal next year. We think we have the head flow issue figured out. I will elaborate more once it is all running and operational.

Would it be possible to downshift towards the end of your run to spin it out? Looks like it's running strong. Really interested to hear about the head resolution as well

Not with a manual. The gear I'm running is similar to what the others are running. I could gear it down but I would be going slower. Just needs more power to pull the gear that's needed to win. All the guys that try automatics never do as good when downshifting.

We have a guy local to me that pulls with a cummins and he unlocks his converter right towards the end of the track and it usually nets him an extra 5-10 feet. Pretty neat when he does it. Don't know if all the other guys do that but none of the other local trucks do it here.

There was a mega cab cummins there last night called "mega rush". It pulled at scheids, he unlocks his converter. Didn't do very well though.

The whole deal is to be able to have the track speed and still run it out the end hard without falling off. Ive got the track speed. But it takes more power than the little engine I got can muster.

How much more hp are you estimating you neee to get this thing to be where i needs to be? Dont know much about 2.6 turbos but do you have the best of the best ball bearing turbo with the best wheel? Also , without looking back, are you running 100% nozzles? If so have you thought about 150s? I understand our heads are a big problem, just thinking out loud if there is anything that can be improved on to squeeze out a bit more power.

Don't think upping nozzles will help because it looks like it's trying its hardest to get air in the cylinders right now.. LOL Improved airflow is a must

Yeah I would say another 200hp would get me there. I still am beating a lot of very competitive trucks.

It does have a $5k Hx60 built 2.6 charger.

With the 100% I have taken a bunch of pw out and will probably take some more. Running around 1.95 right now. Have plenty of fuel and rpm fueling capability.

Basically we have the fueling, the bottom end and the turbo.

Just can't get enough air in the cylinder to support the fuel I have to make enough power.

Remember we have like 200cfm on the intake compares to 300+ cfm in the dmax and Cummins ported heads.

In gonna keep trying what it can to end out the rest of the season. But believe me next years gonna be fun!
