old school, jared. floor jack, couple blocks, and the selected hand tools required, done.

all you guys who for some reason think if a lift is tied up you can't check your oil, amazes me.

lol

just poking ya.......kinda. lol

Its not that. I have 8 20ft hayracks of alfalfa in my 2 shops. I have no where to do it, my buddy brads down the road is tied up.

If you've ever seen my rear end in my truck you'd understand why I'd rather do it on a lift.

So what am I missing here, you bought a pro 80 and still broke it correct. What the *** are you doing to these rears? I mean you have me half paranoid to even hook this year. Is this a fluke thing or what?

The whole rear or just the gears? Sorry for all the questions but we don't see all of these breakages in my area. I has me kinda worried to be honest:fustrate:

No, we only replace what breaks inside.

Jared's truck broke an axle

But yeah, usually a ring and pinion, sometimes an axle in the rear. Just depends. Nothing is cheap when it comes to pulling.

I would like to point out that these are 40 spline axle shafts from Dynatrac, 4140 material I believe.

I'm going to swap the pair out. These things are not cheap. Pretty discouraging, but.. Dynatrac builds some of the best stuff.

Some people see broken parts as a set back, Morgan and I see it as progress

Breakage of stronger parts equals power being made.

IIRC you weld your tubes. Does that seem to have helped with cut down on broken axles?

This is a Dynatrac Pro 80, not a tiny factory sterling. Dont have to do any of that. This axle was built to withstand anything you can throw at it

Im actually shearing the shafts off, not twisting the housing up.

I have a little deal with Dynatrac that if I destroy their parts, they build me something stronger, well.. I sent them a PO for 2 new stronger sets of shafts today.

And to think.. when I said I wanted an extra set they laughed at me..

I could ***k up an anvil in sand :naughty:
