Has anyone else noticed massive MPG gains by switching from the factory LP fuel system to a FASS or an Airdog? My FASS 140gph went on and I just filled up full for the first time on the FASS setup and If im reading this right and doing my calcs right, my average MPG increased 4-5 MPG.

Thats unheard of in my experience

What were you getting prior; what are you getting now?

I Averaged about 14.5-15mpg between city and highway.

I'm averaging between 18.5-19mpg now, same driving scenario.

A lot of my driving is highway rolling 70-80mph. My to and from work trip every day is 55 miles round trip and that's at minimum. Of those 55 miles (daily average, 85-90% of it is highway) It's not uncommon for me to drive 500+ miles some weeks

I'm not convinced quite yet that this is right. I'm going to go through a few more fill ups first to see if it continues....

If it is, this is going to be an unexpected nice surprise since my truck has the factory big fuel tank capacity (48 gallon)

Maybe something was wrong with your factory pump. I have 38x15.50 and get 15.5 to 16 mpg consistently. 18 mpg seems on par with what others with more typical tire size are getting.

Seems like I remember you posting about mpg’s before and I thought that seemed off. 18.5 to 19 seems more like it should be.

I run small tires and wheels. I'm lowered 1.5" in the front and almost 4" in the rear and my truck is a 350 with the heavier front springs and bigger rear leafs and the bigger Dana M275 rear end.

Tires are 305/55 or 33x12.50 basically with a 20x10 wheel.

However I do have a 10mm stroker CP4 and most don't

I think 18 to 19 is what you should’ve always been getting with your setup. Glad you’re getting it now!

That’s quite a nice surprise... On a similar note, I did recently get a large bump in mileage from what I’m pretty sure is summer fuel.

Yea X2 on you should be getting 18-19mpg with your setup. My setup I’m getting 17.1mpg and it’s all small towns, country roads, and highway. Setup in signature.

Good to know especially considering you've got a big wheel and tire setup. 24s and 37s is a lot of rotating mass and weight to push

Im guessing summer fuel is why. It didnt bother my 12 whatsoever to run any kind of fuel and stay consistent with fuel mpg year round. This 15 is way finicky so im guessing the newer ones are worse.

So I have the "turd" but your Shelby GT500 kept breaking, you're driving a Chevy and you wrecked an Excursion.

Did I miss anything.

Truck surpassed 70k mileage. Nothing too new really. Still running like a top. FASS LP setup was having starvation issues at 1/4 tank so we drilled a hole in the tank and did a Beans Diesel Sump to fix that issue. While we were in the low pressure fuel system, we dleetedd the upper fuel bowl in the engine bay with the FASS dleet kit since it cant filter any lower micron wise than the FASS LP does. Cleans up the engine bay a lot and takes the injector return line port and routes it back to the FASS so that fuel gets filtered by the FASS pump.

Yes I know, Truck is filthy in the pictures, So is the engine bay.

New brakes from Raybestos went on.

....I did maybe buy a set of Rods because why not. Very first set of production run D&J Precision 6.7 PSD X-Beam Connecting rods with 35mm wrist pins for 17-19 engines.
