6.4l single turbo

anybody running a single s472 compressor with .83 turbine and a .90 housing?? wondering if an airdog 165 will provide enough fuel for DD.....

okay so it is possible to do, with tunning is it still laggy though, or can u get it to lite fairly quick?? I take it u used mcc to tune it, did u use someones tunes, or just do your own tweaking

Still is laggy, but with the tuning the TC unlocks or it down shifts quick. That makes it go pretty well. I started doing my own thing with MCC with some help for a couple other members, but ended up having Matt (Gearhead) write me a couple tunes. It runs very clean for the most part, alot better than the canned H&S tunes.

Search fenner408 on youtube. I have a couple vids on there with the canned tunes. I havent gotten any with the new tunes yet because of trans issues (not tune related).

Yeah I think Shane is referring to my setup. It's alright. Shyt tons of top end power. Living in BC and all the mountains we got here it isn't an ideal setup for me. But we're gonna change this setup one day.. Right Shane :D

Any truck with a singe 72 is going to have lag. Just depends what you are comparing it to. Single 72 compared to stock compounds, I dont think there is any comparison honestly.

well living in sask in doesn't get any flatter than this..so this setup might work....I haven't actually got the turbo yet, so I still have time to change, thinking since you've been running a single, if u had the option to change size what would go for...... would like the s400 series cause of the bigger compressor...but it looks like a lot run the s366?

Depends on your power goals. 66 would be a better DD turbo I think. You could even go with a 466.

Def a tad laggy. If you run extreme race she's pretty smokey. But just cruising its def not bad but I'm in Maryland. I just put 35s on it and with my 3.73s it made it a tad worse. But I'm on stock fuel as well. Eric at IDP wrote me 2 custom tunes and I love them. Zero smoke unless uou floor in OD. But it locks up at 30-40mph depending on throttle percent and shift into OD at 60. He has a tune on there for me that is suppose to down shift at 55 which would probably be so much better than the 45 it does now I just haven't switched it.
