I will 100% agree on the 190/30 on the street with the kc stage 2. I installed mine about 6 months ago and it has awesome street manners, it whistles like a redneck talking through his tooth, so if you dont like that a muffker would be highly advised. The setup tows my 38 foot fifth wheel fairly well too. It starts to creep in temps when im not paying attention and get under the turbo, but a quick tow/haul button press kicks it up to 2000-2100 rpm and drops temps back down to 1000-1100 degrees.

I love the turbo whistle and knowing that you can control the temps easily enough with tow haul button with a 38 footer on the back

I have a 6.0 the 6.4 has its down falls but not near as many as our trucks..all of those listed above 6.0's are plagued with and more. And nothing can touch it stock with just a tune.

I disagree with this 100%. The 6.4's have many more problems than the 6.0. Cracked pistons are a big thing in 6.4's. With a cracked piston, your entire motor is coming apart and you're looking at $8k+. And I wouldn't say nothing can touch it...

i would say no other truck, tune only, can touch a hot tuned 6.4. And its not that the 6.4s have more issues than 6.0s, it is that the issues that the 6.4 has are most often either catastrophic or 3k + to repair.

Highly recommend the Stage 2 190/30 setup, been running for more than a year. Very versatile, good street manners and towing capabilities. Should have some track time on mine soon and then might step up the turbine. As far as the whistle, a glasspack such as a Dynomax Bullet tames it some. Cuts the whistle about by 1/2. I run one and plan to add one more.

I took mine to the track last night, on the water meth ran a best of 12.68 at 106 which according to the hp calculator is right around 615hp.

Hope this helps, figure.probably 575 or so fuel only.

Why? Because after about 4 years of that racket it gets a little old, lol. Love the performance, just had to take the noise down a bit.

Agree^^ everytime I hear a 6.0 with that whiny sound I cringe. I had the screaming noise from 04 to 2012 ... non vgt only way to go(my opinion of course)

I have 190/100 and barder stage 3 made 595 hp and 1085 tq on 37's but she runs hot

whose tune were you running? and what kind of profile was it? I'm thinking when I want to take it to a dyno i would run a hot tune to get to those numbers and for everything else such as dd or towing i would want to be nice to my transmission (until i get it built). So basically can i get a tune that will be nice to my transmission? (stock)

Wouldn't recommend 68 Vgt for any towing I have warren tunes but I don't know how nice it will be to the trans. Definitely want to get you truck built to handle it before you shoot for big numbers. Trans will go even as a daily hard not to get in it a little hear and there.

so I started another thread and everybody seems to be having hit or miss luck with the stock transmission with higher power levels. I don't think the kc stage 2 turbo is 68mm but that is the turbo I'm going with because a couple guys here have it and they like the setup.
