I too am shooting for 700 and I have way more than 12k invested. I'm somewhere around 35k. Build list includes pis 300/400s, hypermax rods, girdle, cryoed block and crank, Dyno proven modded pistons, push rods, springs, Dyno proven s468, 6.0 trans cooler, Bts trans, Dyno proven idm, air dog fuel(junk), billet stealth hpop(junk), and I'm sure I'm leaving some stuff out. Don't know what it makes yet cause fuel and oil are holding me up at the moment. Point is it gets very expensive to make big power and make it live.

It's your 7th post and this is the 70th thread on how to make 700hp. Please search before asking a blunt question. Do you want to hit 700 once? What's your budget? What's the usage? Want to be reliable? Etc.

Dakota,

You'll need to budget for 2 types of mods.

Foundation and Performance

Foundation: Mods done in order to build off of..

Rods 3K
Girdle / Main 800
Head Gaskets 250.00 (STOCK) 850.00 for fire ring
Head studs 700.00
Fuel system 1300.00 (tank to heads)
Spring/push rods 800.00

Performance:

Injectors..300/200 2100
Turbo......t4/468 kit 3500
I/C......Spearco 1000
Tuning/live......... 600
Tranny.. 4500
HPOP................ 1100

Other...

Intake
Exhaust
IDM Mod
Gauges

Figure on another 1500 for all that.

But your big challange will be patience...Once all of it is together..you'll need to iron out all the bugs and learn the truck all over again. It's a long and tedious process. Well worth it but something you'll need to do.

$35k total including truck or $35k just in mods?
