so i want to regear the truck to 410s.... does anyone have a link to a thread or video that may have specs for torquing things, down back lash, and how to set/change/adjust the gear meshing... ive watched every video i can but noone actually has specs... any help would be nice, tia!!

buy crush sleeve eliminator from yukon as well as their master install kit. it will make the install far easier.
the eliminator will be for a 9" but all you have to do to make it fit the 10.25 is file a little bit to clear the radius on the pinion of the 10.25

you will need an inch lb dial type or beam type torque wrench to set pinion bearing preload. the nice dial type are about $400, I borrowed one.


the yukon master kit comes with a nice shim holder for the carrier shims

A case spreader is nice too, i got mine for around $150 on ebay. Also setup bearings are a must imo

setup bearing are useless on a sterling. the adjustments are made out side of the carrier bearing so you never remove them.
I bought a set for my d60 but didnt find them all that handy.
