Lol. Ever have someone approach you after the fact all bent out of shape?

Seen many corvette, gt500 etc. Owners get pissed when they would loose to friends Hondas at the track, one guy in a newer z06 kept getting smoked by a friends 79 Plymouth volare (ugly boat car) and the 3rd time he threw his helmet across the pits LOL.

Truck looks awesome as usual JD hope you get everything ironed out easily! Bet its pretty fun with how it currently runs.

If anyone ever did that to me I would not be happy, and probably punch the ass in the jaw. Why should anyone be bent out of shape cause something you thought was slower wasn't. I don't get that reaction. *** them

I could only see that happening if you sandbag then put cash on it.. Although I'm sure some d-bags just get mad because daddy didn't spend enough money on their cars.

Daddy jokes?? Weak. People just refuse to realize that trucks can be faster than cars and it's because they don't know how u do it is what makes them mad I think

i think its more about in the higher elevation, compound turbo diesels can put a bit more of a hurting on naturally aspirated sports cars.

The effect is equal wouldn't you say? Just because it's turboed doesn't mean that the air it's pushing is automatically more dense than the air the car is breathing

No sir... Forced induction takes away a bit of the disadvantage of altitude. Same reason that Nitrous kind of levels the playing field.

as stated, it bridges the gap... if you're not on the ragged edge of compressor efficiency, you'll lose far less % of available horsepower in a turbocharged application at altitude vs. NA

Small update - the truck is slowly getting there! Still not where I expect it to be power wise, but I don't have a whole lot of time to be messing with that at the moment, so I'll tinker with that more in the coming weeks. But, for now, I'm learning how to race it again, so that's fun! I think my tires are a little too bald and hard to cut any decent 60' any more without airing them down. I've been running it with 65psi in the front and 80 in the rears... Couldn't get much below a 1.8.

Anyway, it ran a best of 12.0 @ 113.4 which translates to ~830 by the calculator. Density altitude was ~ 7900' when I checked it.

Mike is getting his little truck dialed as well!

My 285/70r17 open country a/t's are a joke when it comes to dry road traction, makes my toyo st's feel like drag slicks.

But for a big, fuel only and stock turbo placement truck yours is impressive as hell. I would love to see what it would do with good tires.

My toyo's used to hook very well lol. I have some 420s that I'll probably try and make a pass with too.

Had a few good pics taken of it the other night too.

Glad to see it coming together JD. My cab is coming off tomorrow to fix a few minor issues and get my injector and nozzle issues squared away for good.
