OK so I accidently bent an ac line and broke it, spilling freon all over..
I rarely use my AC and can do without it..

What all is involved in deleteing it? Can I just plug the ends going into the cooler, remove and plug some other lines, remove the ac clutch and replace with a bracket and idler pully?? If they even make this for an OBS.. Or will codes be thrown with ac stuff not plugged in? Or am I missing something??

You can unplug the ac stuff no problem but the compressor isnt going to come on without freon in the system so just ignore it being broke if you dont want to fix it.

That way if you decide later you want it fixed its a simple fix or if you go to the sell your truck its worth more with a/c than without it.

Just pull everything out and run a Napa # NOE 6601828 for your delete pulley.

Just incase you may change your mind one day or sell it. You can leave it intact like previous poster said but be sure to plug line or crimp it where you broke it or you might as well junk it.

Ok, so I can just un-plug the electronics on the compressor and leave it? The compressor will be fine with the pulliy spinning all the time on it?? As long as I pinch off the broken metal hose??

It spins all the time anyways so its not going to effect anything. No different than just not using your ac when it was working.

With no pressure in the system, the Low Pressure Switch should not allow the Ac Compressor Clutch to engage (so you should not have any problems even if you put the control into one of the AC or Defrost positions). Cheers!
