Well I know I have asked a bunch of questions on the matter, but I am still interested. I am curious if anybody knows if someone could use the temp sender from another gauge kit (say a 3 gauge Isspro EV1 kit) to bypass the trans temp gauge and replace it with this scangauge without having to buy a temp sender to make the whole thing work. Basically will it be plug and play with the Isspro trans temp sending unit, or will we have to buy a special sender in order to monitor trans temp?

The scan gauge will read trans temp through the truck pcm, I know it will on an obs with an auto. No you won't need a special sender or anything, if the trucks pcm reads the trans temp then the scan gauge will display it.

Right, but didn't you think that the PCM doesn't read trans temp for a SD with the Zf6? If it does that would be perfect, if not I wonder if we will need a special sender(that uses the right voltage range or whatever) to match up with the scanguage, or if the sender for the Isspro kit he already has will work to hook up to the axillary port.

The pcm doesnt read trans temp for a zf6 so you will have to use a trans temp sensor and plug it into one of the two analog ports.

Right I figured that....... Let me ask this a different way, are all trans temp sensors the same? Or will I have to get a special one that works with the scan gauge. Cause we have an Isspro one that is for and Isspro EV1 gauge and if it will work with the analog port on the scan gauge, then he definitely wants to get one.

You will have to use a trans temp sensor from Aeroforce.
