Hey I was just wondering what aftermarket turbos guys are running that still look stock? And what kind of performance do you get out of them? Thanks

Industrial injection, elite tow powers and river city work stock turbos I believe are the only stock appearing turbos out there.

Give Jared at River City Diesel a call. They have very little lead time on items and great customer service!

They are the same compressor wheel sizes. Industrials HP turbo however is 2mm smaller. The only difference between RCDs work stocks and towpowers is the amount of blades on the LP and you have the option of a billet wheel on the HP. Towpowers also have some exhaust side work, I beleive they have a larger exhaust turbine, how much I'm unsure. As for power differences I'm sure they wouldn't be any more than 10hp. The only way you could gauge is identical trucks with different turbos either drag strip or same dyno.

47 horsepower increase here with Elite's Tow Power atmospheric charger. You wouldn't be able to tell I changed a thing if you glanced under the hood.

All three atmo turbos are good choices. For cost and only losing a couple HP I would go with industrial

So is it worth it to do both turbos or just do the atmospheric? Thanks for all the good info

Just look at the numbers Aaron has put down with tow powers and 110 nozzles. Impressive to say the least.

This is the setup I am really interested in because of how it performed in the DPC. If I can still dial it back enough to tow heavy I will more than likely go this route.

How heavy do you tow?

Well I'm buying a 14k gooseneck for a reason lol. I don't tow heavy all the time but I still need it to be able to. I would honestly say I would never go over 14k-16k.

I had to take a second look to see who was asking me, I can't even take you seriously with your sweet new avatar LOL

I'd rather tie a cinder block to my ankle and jump off a bridge... Industrials turbo is cheap because it's not rebuilt. You get somebody else's charger with a k31 wheel in it. K31 wheel was a big thing ten years ago, but anymore it's just an ok setup. I suppose industrial did their research and opted to use it in the chargers because of the factory low pressure shaft sizes and the little amount of money it would take to get one inside that cover. What do I know though lol

There is another set of factory upgrade chargers in development as we speak that are gonne be awful nice :D

I honestly think 110's are gonna be too much to tow that heavy.... I would look into more charger or less nozzle. For the price of a fuel system, you may be better off going to high powers or something with stock fuel, or maybe 60's and a low pressure system with some tuning changes.

Lol I gotta say I had nothing to do with my avatar change. However, I will add that it is more or less fitting. LOL
