HPOPs are aluminum with brass bearings I believe.

The revolver part that the pistons operate in is brass.
The shaft has a bearing at one end and on the 17* I tore down a Teflon looking coated bushing. I very highly doubt aluminum is coming from hpop.
Do what you want but I think you are looking in the wrong part.

Wish I had not. My brother in law said no prob let's tear it down before using it. He was not as talented as he thought he was. I'm glad to know the construction but I would have liked using the free 17* pump..instead it went to diesel site as a core.

this was what I was thinking.
if you break a spring in the hpop it sends brass through everything.
with your big oil system most will be going through the IPR so you could pull it and see what its caught

main and rod bearing material could look like aluminum

Just an update.
Flushed oil 4 times.
Pulled injectors and sent to PIS.
4 oil sides were shimmed so far they had to be replaced.
The injectors had 20cc variance.
PIS balanced/matched them to actually flow what they were supposed to.
All new solenoids bc they were getting hit from the inside by the armature (unsure of actual name).
Squeal noise during run test is gone as well.
Found original oil contamination to be a chunk of epoxy that had fallen into the oil.
Reassemble and its smoother then it ever has been.
Then a few miles down the road the CPS shi*s the bed.
New CPS and ran fine.
Take it out again and it dies with no restart once the oil is above 180 ish.
Will stumble/die when I try to restart and slow to build HPO press but wont stay running.
Restarts very fast once cold.
Going to run some tests with AE later today to narrow down the issue.
Pulling VCs to see if I have a top side HPO leak and possibly cleaning/re o-ringing the injectors/IPR.
Runs strong/smooth AF before up to temp tho.

It takes forever to work all the bugs out sometimes...

When I talked to David @ PIS when I sent mine in he said he was working on a set of 350/200s at the same time as mine that had similar issues. Wonder if they were yours.

Don't have much experience with twin pumps but have you had your IPR out recently? Since you have AE would be interesting to see what your ICP and DC% looks like as it approaches 180* or wherever it stumbles/dies.

They probably were if it was only a few weeks ago.
I recently reassembled the motor and had the ipr out and cleaned at the same time.
O-rings were fine.
Last time i had it warmed up it was holding DC at very low 30% range all the way on a 10-100 mph run from memory.
I dont have my excel files with me but it was 2800-2900 psi the entire way.
Ill find out more today from testing with AE.
We will see!

Just started the truck 20sec before starting vid.
Fired up immediately.
I think I have an electrical problem.
Starts right up but dies within moments.
No apparent HPO issue.
Just dies like its shut off.

Died twice.
First time was vid above.
My Microsoft office trial has expired so I can't get the actual data logs uploaded.

First picture ICP pressure.

Then duty cycle.

IDM?

PCM is new within a year.

But... Yesterday when it quit on the road, on attempted restart, would not build over 1800 ICP.
Multiple problems?

No mechanical gauge.
However my dash gauge is functional and the pressure is still present when it dies.
