Ya...that was my concern.

You could always put something like Opti-coat on it. Its a sealant that supposed to last about 2 years to try to help protect it if you were to paint it.

Harley's aren't billet? I've never noticed bc I never see them up close. My friends grille that I painted is billet and looked like a Harley without the badge so I didn't think harley originals were plastic. But as said before, primer and your good.
