another e4od question

My trans is leaking where it meets the tcase. now my question is there a seal where the output shaft comes out of The tail section. or is the gasket between the the trans and tcase supposed to keep the fluid in. I've searched for a seal and all I come up with is 2wd seals

There's gaskets there, 1 on each side of the adapter between the trans and t case.

Make sure the adapter itself isn't cracked, had that happen before

Is that all thats there? No seal on the output shaft where it exits the trans?

Two gaskets, one on each side of the extension housing. There is no output shaft seal on a 4x4 tranny.

There is a seal around the convertor. Do you have oil dripping from the bellhousing/inspection cover?

Pretty common for them to start leaking.
