hmmm, wonder if he just cut the top and bent the spring back to the right spot to go back through that hoop, or just left it out of the little hoop/holder thing?
I helped out a buddy and we cut down 6.4 4x4 springs and dropped the front about 2" and it still rides damn good. Truck was a 99 2wd.
Sweet, and there has been no issues with not putting the retainer back in the top?
Unless you jump the truck without the shocks or swaybay in, I don't see there being an issue.
Are you looking for any specific pics? Or just what they look like in the buckets? We didn't take any of the process but its pretty straight forward. If you don't want to spend much coin on a set try to find a 6.4 guy that put 5.4 springs in and see if you can get them for cheap.
