Nobody else has run a Pius built turbo on a 6.0L? Found lots of 7.3 stuff when I searched.

Intersting thought. I think the issue maaay lie in the design of the turbine for an engine with another 100 cubes of displacement. But thats not to say it wont work because lets face it, nobody really knows.

I wish you luck and hope it works really well.

Id definitely be interested in how it works out. Why not just call irate and ask? or even try and get up with the man himself. Im surprised no one else has had any input on his turbos. Iv heard his name a lot on other forms.

The claims from the sellers is, that it spools like a 62FMW and outflows a 66 so i guess we'll see... Im hoping with my supporting mods. cam, ported intake manifold, and bd exhaust manifolds. it'll spool well. It has the 68mm turbine of the 62fmw and a billet 64mm comp wheel, I'm having the exhaust housing and up pipes all ceramic coated too. you'd think it would outspool the 64fmw with a smaller turbine... I don't think bell will disclose the A/R's

this is from irate's website:
When adding fuel upgrades to your 6.0 it is just as important to match the air flow into the engine to maintain efficiency and get the most performance out of your application. the BASB turbo works with stock (tuned) injectors all the way to 225cc injectors. It will spool fast and move more air up top than an S366!!

Bell Turbo BASB, this turbo is built by Pius at Bell turbo and is an excellent towing turbo and those looking to be around 450-600hp with excellent towing characteristics. This turbo has the new high flow wheel and will spool faster than than its brother turbo due to the standard t4 housing. You can now add the billet wheel to the BASB for even better spooling and better turbo MAP!!!

I assume its brother is the 7.3L version

I think it is referring to the brother as the s series bw charger from whence the basb was derived.

That description from irate sounds like this has already been done. Give Jake a call and he'll tell you what you wanna know. Ive used him before and had excellent results.

I'm interested to hear more about this too. This is the first I've heard of it. What's the cost on it? I'd be pretty hard pressed to give up my 62FMW. Especially since I'm on stock injectors....

I already have a full T4 setup, I wonder how much it is for just the turbo.

I'm not sure it'd really be worth me doing anyway, the 62 more than cleans up any fuel I have, on stock sticks.

The 364.5FMW from HTT would probably be another option to explore. We use them on 7.3s and they compare VERY closely with the BASB. Great option or those wanting a middle of the road priced turbo that performs above standards. Every 7.3 we have installed them on ran exceptionally well.
Jacob really hooked it up with the suggestion of that turbo and a 7.3, why not try it on a 6.0

I cant see why it wouldn't "work". A 362 and stock 7.3 fuel would be perfect.

I think the main difference would be the turbine is smaller on the bsb, and i would assume spool better then a 64fmw. Thats why i chose to go this route. cutting edge diesel told me id like the 62 better for street use because of the spool, and the 64fmw would be better for drag/sled. Im hoping to spool like the 62, with airflow of the 64, Downside will be slightly more EBP.
