Well it has the exact same symptoms as last time I cracked one. Bad miss on cylinder #4 and excessive blowby, enough to blow the dipstick out of the tube.
That's just crazy. These things never crack pistons.

Did you machine the pistons when did the .30 over? If not then you would have raised your compression a bunch and theoretically more prone to pre ignition which could to crack pistons.

Our motors already have such high comp ratio from the factory... raising it is not a good idea.



Either way I am hoping for the best for you... maybe you will get luck and it will be something small

Boring .030 over only increases the compression ratio by .10, I don't think one tenth would be considered enough compression increase to have pre ignition issues.
