I agree with JD. Lots of weight getting moved.

I have enjoyed my Warren trans.

Lots of track time and boosted launches in a 8400 pound truck. Won't complain one bit.

I disagree with the "pay more money and it will hold up better" mentality. I have two close friends that have scattered parts out of $10k Suncoast trannies under daily driving! No sled pulling or anything. When Warren is using the same converters, clutches, and using billet shafts that these other big name guys are AND giving it to you at a great price it's really a no brainer.

I have a suncoast, and its about to explode. And i'm at sub 700hp...in a 6.0. Pop it into a 6.4 with the low end torque from tow or high powers, and there would be a mess everywhere. Mine was $4k, without a converter.

Something is skimped if your 'comp' trans costs $4k. Billet parts are great, but do nothing if you don't have enough clutch material to hold the power.

I had to pull apart Tadd's stage 5 under a bind, and I was amazed at how much material was in the OD pack alone. Never seen anything like it before.

If Warren is using the same parts as the transmissions that scattered, I wouldn't want those no matter what the price was...?

You sir, have a good point. Suncoast uses their own converters, not the ones Warren offers with his trannies. Now on the clutch packs, I'm not sure what brand or how many Suncoast uses. But I look at it like this; If I scatter parts from a "comp" tranny across the interstate I would feel a hell of alot better if it was $3800 up a wild hogs a$$ and not $10,000! Granted there's warranties they might come up with a reason not to stand behind it.

Andy will build you a trans with whichever parts you want. Raybestos and DPC, sure he will. If you want red altos and a precision, again he will. I dont see a problem going with a Warren trans at all.

warren trannys are awesome! I can somewhat agree with morgans statement but from what we have seen if you want to make good reliable power that will last and shift conistantly every time 4r is the best way. in this case 5r is the better choice but I just haven't seen the perfect shifting every time out of a 5r as I have with the 4r. either way though you cant go wrong. im not dogging the 5r but just have more faith in the 4r in high hp applications

It depends on your power level, and what you feel you should pay for what you get. If you are close to 600hp, most of the built units mentioned previously will work well for you.

There was a time I felt the same way, until recently.

I have been running a Warren full billet trans all summer. Truck weighs around 8500 on 37s. Pulled it 3 times. 3 mid 12 second quarter mile passes. Multiple boosted launches. Havent had an issue. Shifts great everytime with erics tunes. I couldn't be happier with a trans.

I've got a Twisted trans in mine. It's actually the same one I had in my Punisher truck with the Procharger, GT42, and nitrous. I beat the CHIT out of that thing. LOL I sold the truck but recently bought the trans back out of it. Had it gone thru before I put it in ZMBYKLR and everything looked almost perfect in it. Now I beat the chit out of it still, running high 11's at 7600lbs on 37's. LOL It's never missed a beat.

Stage 4 5r110 from elite. Elite has one of the best trannys out there and they deal primary with ford so they know their stuff. 5r110 is proven in the diesel world and for what is understood its a little more easier to tune
