Beehive springs or something? patrickke what was the cost on the smith bros if you don't mind me asking. I've checked out their site a few times.

Is there any concerns going with stiffer valve springs and using the OEM rockers? I've seen some break on stockers before, seems like a stiffer spring would make this happen quicker!?

Does anyone know if the lifters can just be slipped out if the cam is not in the motor? I know if I did a cam I would want to replace the lifters and put larger push rods in. I am just curious if I can pull the lifters without pulling the heads (I hate to pay to have them gone through again). The push rods can be replaced by removing one head stud at a time, replacing the push rod and then retorquing the head stud back down. I would be curious if this seems like it would work.

Nevermind. I thought about this some more and dont think it will work as there is no doubt not enough room in the cam shaft channel to pull the lifters out so if I wanted to replace my lifters, I would have to pull the heads. I am confident that the push rods can be replaced by not pulling the heads as long as they are replaced with torquing the headstuds back down after each pushrod is replaced.
