Do most of you guys vent to the atmosphere or a catch can? If a catch can, do you build your own, or buy one?

Same here, I usually run mine back to right in front of the fuel tank and dump it. No issues with this setup and I've done it on other trucks as well with good results.

By theory as long as there are no droops in the line there should not be any accumulation and/or oil puddling or dripping?

By venting to the atmosphere you shouldn't get ANY drops of oil. I have been venting mine to the atmosphere for over 50k miles and have yet to get a drop of oil. I could see if you had excessive blow by, but otherwise the dog house will catch all the oil. The reason oil comes from the OEM setup is because the turbo pulls it through the CCV due to the vacuum created at the inlet of the turbo.

How are you guys plugging the port in in te intake tube when you dump the ccv under the truck?

JB Weld on mine.

3/4 or 1" electrical junction box plug I can't remember exactly what size. Less than a buck at lowes, cut the tube out of the intake, hit it with a little rtv and press the plug in

I used a 1" pvc plug but others have used boat plugs with good results also. And I have yet to see any oil dripping from mine but its 10' long...

Mines about 3 inches long and no oil that I have seen so far. I'm not really sure why I even run a hose on it??

The stock air box will take a pipe plug,jb weld, and a hose clamp.

Aftermarket, afe anyway, I used a nut,2 washers, and a bolt. I sandwiched the grommet between the washers.

I took a 3/4 inch PVC cap and put some epoxy on it,pushed it in the hole and put a hose clamp around it.Then I took a rubber hose stuck it on the 90 elbow with a hose clamp and ran the hose under the truck.

Mine is 10ft of some 3/4" or 1" heater hose ran back to my front traction bar bracket and tied up out of the way. Didn't have to plug my intake, because I don't run one with my s472 LOL
