I agree with powerstroked08, mine is about right around there to like half way on the pedal stroke. And I haven't had the problem with getting mine into first as of now maybe in the future when the syncro's get weak. Sometimes in reverse I notice it can be a little troublesome but little feathering of the clutch and she goes in

Hey guys here a short video of ripping through the gears. From a stop pulling out up to 85 mph. It's not the greatest but it gives you a idea. It's defiantly a shorter throw whether or not you guys will be able to tell from the video!!

Thanks. Either you are a h#ll of a lot better shifter than me or that clutch shifts a h#ll of a lot quicker!!!!
Again, I should note that I do have the old version 3850 and I hear the newer version shifts much quicker, but whatever the case, when I get around to doing another clutch, that one is definitely on the top of my list.

I just noticed something from your vid...I didn't realize you could get a stick with the Lariet, I thought the XLT was the highest package with a stick....learn something new every day.

Ha Yeah it shifts really nice and pretty quick when needed. It's defiantly a good clutch you wouldn't be disappointed. And yeah I was kinda shocked myself when I bought it. But the guy I got it off specialed order the truck with the manual trans so he prolly special ordered leather to. Lol

Now that's rated 750 hp at the crank right? Do they offer any other clutches with higher output? If so, Brett, after you add some fuel and the HP you might slip this bad boy. After watching the video, it definitely shifts faster than mine, and I have the newer style 3850. Kenny's gets a thumbs up in my book.

Yeah, hopefully I get to that level someday. Unless my 3850 dies (and I cant see that happening), it will be a while. Seems like SB under rates their clutches, maybe these are too. That's a good question about the rating (crank vs RW), I never gave that much thought before. Also thanks for letting me know about the shifting speed, I have always been curious about how the newer 3850s do.

Mine shifts pretty quick, but like I said a notch slower than stock, and I am a fast shifter. But in that video he is rowing them pretty quick, like a stocker. I agree with you about the 3850, she seems like she has a long life ahead of her. I am still in love with the fact that we don't have to upgrade our hydraulics like the cummins do with heavier clutches.

Make no mistake, I am happy with mine and use to it so it doesn't bother me, but on that never ending list of mods I want to do, a quicker shifting clutch is always on the list!!!

To the OP, mine takes off the same way (jerky and no slip). Thanks again for the vid.

When I bought the clutch that was the first thing I asked him about the rating and he told me that it was 750 rwhp and that's what I wanted. I'm not real sure if they make a higher hp but he makes pulling clutches for dodges so
I'm assuming he makes one for higher hp applications.

Thanks for that info as well.
I'm looking to get a new clutch and need it to support the goodies that will be going on in the future.

On a side note. I have a question for you guys... My clutch is making a chatte as I drive (not all the time) almost sounds like an exhaust leak. It will go away after 2k RPM or WOT.
Sorry for the derail OP

Hey sure thing guys hope it's helpful. That's what these things are here for. Lol

And for the noise I'm not exactly sure. Does it do it through all the gears??

Being that 1st gear is gone through fast, it's more noticeable from 3-5 (or 6th however you look at it) but only through a certain RPM

Edit- clutch engages with pedal 3/4 of the way out it seems
