The white bottle PS does.

Problem with running K1 is it's dyed, and 100% illegal. Just saying.

And don't bother asking the stations up here if it's #1/#2 or "summer/winter" blend. They don't know. I have yet to find a station that can answer, not offer both at the same time.

Up here....October starts Winter Fuel.....and expect it till May. Bottom line.

And there are retards here that cant answer either. Dont go there. Ignorance is NOT an excuse.

I have clear Kerosene. You want to see a picture? I use it as an ADDITIVE which removes it being used illegally as a fuel. Additives are NOT illegal and amount of their use isnt quantified in most states. The reason is they dont know how much an application might require. Ive yet to see someone try to sell me dyed kerosene. On a fuel island it might be in your state. In IL you can buy clear kerosene even at a fuel island pump. Mine is purchased at a trucking terminal and is kept inside their building. It too is clear.

I know white ps is antigel, thats why I said it about ten times in my post where I corrected zach. I use it.

Also how can you ascertain when you are getting what fuels when you claim the people at all the stations dont have a clue? I mean, if they dont know, you dont know. Thats why I reinforced that point also. I find it unbelievable that nobody can answer those basic questions. Its a requirement in most places that sell fuel. No matter, thats why its advised to carry antigel in the first place.

But you can find fuel that simply does NOT need to be doped. Most FS stations sell Dieselex Gold fuel. It contains Sureflo and its rated for-40 at my station. I know because I just ask anybody working there and they have been informed. If a trucker asks what is in the fuel "I dont know" wont cut it. If people have charge accounts at a station, they know what's in the fuel. If you seriously get answers like you claimed, you need to find better supplies. Thats the bad, cheap fuel Im talking about. Its probably high 30s in cetane count as well. Not good Tom.

Hey don't shoot the messenger dude, lol

I'm just telling you how it is up here. I've seen it marked in more southern states, but up here I have NEVER seen a pump with both options. Hell, I have never seen biodiesel in this state, either.

Diesel is not as common up here Ty. The town I fill up in had ~6-7 stations. Only 1 diesel pump in the entire town. Not one station. 1 pump.

I have asked dozens of times. I even asked "how can you sell it if you don't know what it is?"

The closest thing I got to an answer was "I can give you the number of the regional manager." LOL

And as far as K1....I have never seen it "taxed" in Maine, which would be the only way to run it legally. Every place I have ever seen it it is dyed.

If you could find it clear, theyd never know, nor would you be breaking any laws by using it as an additive in diesel.

The stuff at sapps I buy is available untaxed at the pump. You can buy it up to $100 worth but it got to be going into cans. Not a transfer tank or vehicle/equipment tank. Although in IL im not sure this is shti they could do if you, say, filled a skidloader with it.

My understanding is its strictly a "tax" issue. If you pay the road tax... you're good. I've just never seen it. Off-road vehicles, farm equipment, etc doesn't matter. No different than off road diesel.

If you are looking for un-dyed kerosene, check your local farm/feed store.
At least around here they typically have a pump set aside from the diesel/gas pumps (right along side the CNG tank).

I had my truck gel up using the white bottle of power service this past winter when it got really cold. The truck gets stanadyne fuel treatments now.

Thats odd, even a duramax will stay crystal free with white power services.

White bottle of ps. I treat every tank of fuel so it's not like it wasn't in all the fuel lines or anything.

The lower mid-west also got hit with unusually cold weather this winter and a lot of people got caught with their pants down running summer fuel.

Its still odd. I left the dmax out in as low as -30 and never had an issue. I have had them gel up on me before. It seems they gel up really easily and it has removed the issue.

Good luck with the stanadyne. Dont buy oodles of it and leave it sitting it'll do some weird stuff. I like the stanadyne and will use it in my 7.3 if its cheaper than the white chit but you wouldnt wanna buy it use half and then try to get back in that same bottle the next cold season. Be **** floatin' in it!

You're a dip****.

I live in IL. Ive yet to hear about people not being ready for cold weather and diesel. Its not like there are shtiloads of semis running out of this area and they never use any fuel from the local area. I think you have that backwards. With all the interstates running through here and being a shipping/transportation hub for the entire country shti is always handled and ready.

You know why trucks from IL, In, and the "midwest" are rusted out the worst? From the corrosives they put on the road to melt ice/snow. You know why that is? Because these roads HAVE to remain open for the reasons I stated above. So they go as far as dumping bad shti on the road to make sure they are passable 24/7 in terrible weather but forgot to put additives in the fuel.

Its cool if you wanna make stuff up but make sure nobody from the area you're claiming did something is sitting there listening to your bs before you do.

Fuel is cold weather ready from Oct-April everywhere that I go in the "midwest". Putting 60-70k miles a year on two different vehicles I would know if we didnt know how to winterize fuel. Another reason Id probably know? My dad runs trucks and if he was having issues in any of his rigs, id know. And hes also in the fuel&ag industry.

Ill go further Tom and let you in on a little secret, there are more people here making fuel than you could fathom. There are many refineries and biodiesel plants that are close. To say the midwest doesnt understand fuel is about as clueless as it comes. Sorry buddy, you're dead wrong.

What am I wrong about? There were a LOT of threads/posts about people who gelled up this winter, and from what I read most were in the mid-west areas during that unusually-cold snap they had this winter. I was just saying there seemed to be a lot of people affected by it.

Sorry, Tom. I meant that in a punch in the arm way. Like when hour buddy says something and you nudge him.

I wasnt trying to :axe:
