Well of course, but it's not the only way. I hate those quick connects.

Not the only way at all haha it was just the easiest for me since i didnt have time to drop the tank a day before a dune trip i had planned. I was able to sneak my arm up there and clip it on and i was good.

Hell you made out easier than I did. I dropped the tank partially and still fought it to come out lol

I don't like using them close to their max limits.

As long as it goes up a little past your target pressure you should be fine. What you should be really looking at in a regulator is how much it can flow….

From John ( Hobby Stock)

This is everything minus tank. I was debating between draw straw and sump and a way to return. I will probably sump it and then return it to the factory sender with -6 the whole way back.

I was just thinking hat it might be smarter and just as effective to use this pump http://www.mkmcustoms.com/raptor150gphfits03-0760lpowerstroke.aspx

It would take the place of the pump, the regulator and the return line would not be needed. It seams like it would drop the price of building a custom fuel system.

All you would have to do to make the heads flow fuel completely would be tie the back of the heads to each other. I think this would be essentially what a regulated return kit does.

Personally, I would stay away from that. Seems like. Lot to go wrong. I prefers a1000 or fuel lab, keep the pump simple.

Raptor isn't a bad pump...it is made by Pureflow (makers of AirDog). Used to be used a lot more behind the low pressure FASS/AirDog systems.
