Frame to axles?

05+ trucks strap the passenger side at least around the axle and the frame and suck it down. Runnin a blank at work right now but could be both sides. Compresses the springs and helps with hop. Also, a shock on the axle farther forward can help.

Anybody know the best way to strap 03-04's? Leaf spring suspension?
Or just pull the frame and axle together? Trying to make it as rock solid as poissible right?
Sense I dont have traction bars, could you also strap the rear? Seems to me it would make it pretty stable?

But how hard can you really launch before stuff starts breaking?

When I strapped my 99, I just went over the frame an under the axle on both sides. I'd have my friends help by pushing down on the truck to get it as tight as possible. Running 6" of lift an 315s, i never hopped in the front weather pulling or racing.
Smut, I wouldn't bother strapping the rear. Traction bars help control the axle from twisting, not going up an down.

Yea, I know, but you dont think it could help it be a little more solid??
Thanks for the above answer also.

Idk, try it an see, but I honestly don't think it'll help any. Personally, not trying to sound like a dik, but I'd just build or buy a set of traction bars an be done with it.

I was able to launch at 20psi with my 03, stock sticks, turbo, and SCT. Would at most do a little one two hop and be gone. Never did launch after the rear traction bars went on. Maybe if I ever fix it ill try again.

Drawing a piss poor picture to see if i can come up with something. Traction bars....working on it.

Surprising to see you "help me":toast:
How rough is it? Times? Worth it? Did it kill anything? 20 psi has got to be stupid hard on a tranny?

Is there a such thing as front traction bars? How much circular travel is there?

This helps me get it but there seems to be one flaw. I just think if everything is solid then nothing except u joints and stuff will break. It seem more efficient to put power to the ground safely.
Dont laugh at my pitiful pic its 5am

Don't need to strap the rear. Also, traction bars need to be at same angle as the driveshaft otherwise it will bind. Just get some caltracs, they work.

I never ran on the strip, only street stuff. Very little to no spinning but with 315/75-16 toyo MTs I don't think it was going to much at 400rwhp or so.

I have seen front traction bars but usually on sled pullers. With the springs compressed and strapped it makes it harder for the axle to twist the leaves and rebound, which causes the hop. Loading and unloading.
