Yep, know of two here in canada that are working well. Ivan(extended power) loves his. But to be honest these trucks can make between 6-700 on stock oil on fuel. Which is huge for a street truck. What exactly are you trying to build

Its been done, and no issues on the street from what i've ben told. The key to the dual hpop is using a high pressure low volume second pump. Dual high volume (stock style) pumps have been known to bend spool valves.

You've got hybrids anyways lol

I don't see why it can't be done. 7.3 guys do it all the time. What do you want dual pumps for? Are they hybrids draining ICP?

stock pump is fine runs my hybrids great everything is staying in check but i have some new plans im goin to try to get to 800rwhp on fuel with a big single and with the size injectors im thinking of goin with ill need the second pump

I know this would entail just as much if not more work, but woudldn't putting the adrenaline outfit in do the same thing with a lot less clutter? I know it's not what this thread is for, just a suggestion.

Greg, are the spool valve issues from commanding 2x psi icp? Would there be a way to use a high pressure bypass setup to overcome this? I have no clue as to how a dual setup works other than basic idea of keeping the oil side pressurized. I would assume they are plumbed parallel to each other or one pump per bank.

Why dont you just upscale the hybrids? Are you switching to conventional's to warrant the dual pumps?

Not quite sure to be honest, no real experience, but I know elite was bending spool valves after only so many passes. Im 99% sure the elite kit was draining the factory LPOP at the rate they were going when they were having their issues. The stock pump is a high pressure, high volume pump. The dual hpop kits being talked about that people like shawn etc are building are a high pressure low volume, its basically a lift pump for the valley pump. It draws from another oil source (oil pan) and feeds high pressure low volume oil to the test port of the stock hpop.

Ill send this thread to Tadd and see if he can comment further, if he has the time.

That would be all I could think of was they were shooting way over needed icp and doing that. Although it's small, the spool valves are fairly tough little boogers. I mean, 4000psi is a lot of darn pressure to begin with, much less anything more.

I asked about the pressure bypass because surely there are some true sewer pipe injectors out there for the 6.0 and this would give true expandability. Of course tuning it would be a pain in the butt for sure. I think 345cc is the biggest I have heard of, which is a friggin' monster.

Are those hybrids? I would assume so anyway. Like I said earlier, I really have no idea how an oiling system for those would work, one giant hpop, or twin 2k psi hpops? And what makes 4k psi the magic number anyway. Granted, this would be an idea for comp use mostly, with the exception of a few nuts out there.

That's one thing I hate about cr's is no one goes by capacity, just hp or nozzle size. I think the capacity measurment makes better sense as it is a more accurate measurment. And they try and tune pw by that as well, it works but wonder how much better it would work the other way, but that's another thread.

Tadd di that yrs ago. Held a whole 16-1800psi. That's why he made his dual pump kit.
