Has anyone experienced an instant E4OD failure? I now have nothing but reverse. It happened when I was using 4Hi for the first time and had the truck in D just on a gravel road. Acted like it popped into neutral and since then only reverse. I pulled the dipstick multiple times after running it since and clean perfect level fluid is what it reads. I also pulled the test port plug out of the trans and got the same fluid look.
I was wondering if I had transfer case issues because someone told me they claim to have had a tcase only work in reverse before and it was the issue. I pulled the tcase fill plug and got nearly a quart of extra fluid? Kinda weird but everything in the tcase looked fine. Help me out I’m leaning towards transmission rebuild but what’s next to confirm that.
