My big thing is on the lower gears it doesn't pull hard like 4th when it locks up.... Feels like nothing's there...

I'll be giving her a call as soon as the cab comes back down. How's the drivability on wild track?

Looney wild track file sucks on the street. Shifts way too soon and converter locks too soon. I told her about this and she said its suppose to do that cause its made to be run at the strip... not a daily driver tune. She said that's why she has a Looney wild DD tune. So for me the track file is a complete waste unless you're racing at the track or driving WOT.

Matts file drives like stock, low
Smoke, and only locks the converter at WOT.

I can agree with this. I really liked his tunes, only thing I would have changed was aggressiveness. But still for the street, hard to beat.

But SRLXX was pretty aggressive. Lol

Aggressiveness in tuning is a huge perception of power.

When I say aggressiveness, I look for more aggressive down shifts. I think all the power was close to the same honestly. I hated when I smashed it at 70 mph and it wouldn't downshift. Lol

Oh I see. I love when my truck doesnt downshift and torque takes over. I guess that is the difference and nice thing about custom tuning. I lay into the skinny so that she just pulls with converter locked. None of this gasser downshifting bs. lol

^^^^ exactly!!! Freight train power. Love the lock at 50 and just rolling into the throttle and pulling and pulling. My buddies with gassers just sit back and get mad.

I need to. I know he'll make it right. Shifted great just no throttle response.

That is to keep the smoke out down low for tip in pedal position. I daily drove the biggest file I could. Super Panty dropper and extreme srl x+ or whatever that tune was called I got from Matt haha.

That's the only thing I don't like about my srl xxx is it downshifts to easy. Gear head tunes for the win

This! I love that low end! I wish it pull harder thru the gears not just 4th an 5th.

Most of the issues we see with shifting and lock up is related to changes to the options. If the gear ratio and tire size are changed and it doesn't match the tune, it won't shift correctly. Also, the custom options for WOT shifting will skew the mph calculation and cause poor shifting.

Hmm....well I wonder about this now. Eric, everytime I program the truck with one of your tunes I always go through the user options and select 3.7.3 for gearing and select 635 for tire revs and increase the pressure for every shift up to 25%. Should I not do this and just leave alone? If that's the case I don't think i ever gave you my gear ratio and tire revs whenever I had you write a tune....does that matter?

I never mess with tire size or gear ratio with any of my custom files. Leave it at default for however the tuner sets the tune up. Trans always acted the best this way.
