If you only plan to put in a powermax with a batmowheel, what was the purpose of going with a 190? You're still going to have to pull fuel in the tuning. Seems like a 155 probably would have been a better choice if you plan on towing heavy and not going with anything more than a p-max right? I mean, it's your money so more power to you. I can see if you planned on upgrading the charger down the road too, but it seems like you don't want to do that... though there are a lot of quotes in this thread where you've said one thing and later changed your mind haha.:pint:

As I have said before...truck will be lived tuned. I will have a tune with fuel pulled for moderate towing and in town driving. ....but will also have a couple for playtime. Later if I need to look at modding the turbo I can go there. From.what I have gathered smoke and egts are easier to get a handle on with 75% nozzles..

live tuning does wonders. you'll be just fine with 75 nozzles

Right, but how much fuel is pulled out in the tuning there? Will we ever know the answer to that question? I think it's safe to say a powermax can not clean up 190's at full fuel, even at 75% nozzles... though more people run the 100% nozzles. I just never understood why guys went for the larger sticks only to have one of the good tuners pull fuel out to keep them clean. If you plan on going bigger... then yeah go for it now while you're doing it. From what it seems like reading this thread, Gare is going to end up doing something bigger down the road, despite what he says now hahaha. His subconscious told him to get 190's cause he knew deep down he'd be spraying it or going larger on the snail.

Well said. Although a powermax on 190s makes a damn good street truck, absolutely no lag, and has a mean bite to it when you want it too. I never told Eric to pull fuel out of my tunes. FWIW on my tow tune from Eric, pulling about 7000 lbs, EGTs never got above 1200 on a decent grade, and when I sprayed water meth, it kept them at 1050 when going up grades. So being able to tow lightly and having a very drivable street monster was nice. I think towards the end of the track on that video, the powermax did fairly well..but that may have been from Erics good tuning, who knows!

I agree with Mike on going as big as you can, the first time, because deep down, you will want more..provided your wallet size at the time. my injectors are at warren now getting up'd to 210/100's, my FICM is at KEM, and I just bought a 64/71/.70 from Matt @CED

I only had my 190's in for 5000 miles LOL

190s and a powermax have been the 500+ rwhp setup on 6.0s for years. 175s will not get you to 500rwhp. maybe with a 175 100, at 62.5 degrees outside, on a forgiving dyno, at the flywheel. However, it has been shown over and over again that the powermax will support 500+. long story short, a 190 75 and a powermax is the most aggressive (500+rwhp) yet all around street-able and still be a very towable setup. I loved my 190 75's for daily driving with a stock turbo and upgraded vgt towing an 18K lb boat with no smoke issues on extreme street, stock trans stock fuel system. Unhooked it ran a 13.1 on fuel.

My ~ 500 hp 7.3 smoked more than the truck in the vid in a race file (238 hybrids, 38R, fuel system, yada yada) . It saw 1700 on multiple occasions too. Smoke and EGTs were easily kept in check by my right foot. LOL
