Thanks man. Mine is VXCF4HB. I didnt know if it had something to do with the strategy or not. Either way I know for sure that plugging in the EGR valve allowed me drop about 3 psi for cruising boost levels. I would be very curious to see what your cruising boost levels would be in there was an EGR valve plugged in. 9-10psi isnt unreasonably high but I would be willing to bet it might drop to 5-6psi (possibly lower and possibly do nothing at all) if an EGR valve was plugged in.

Guess I need to find a egr valve for a 05-07, I don't have an address yet since I just got out here but I'm willing to spend a few bills to try it I can't imagine it would be to much..

Well finally got around to it last thursday when the valve came in (Thanks Younger).. Plugged it back in and i'm still running the same boost levels.. So i dunno. I don't think it would hurt anything running as high as it is? But i'm not sure.

Check your MAP hose and sensor for leaks. I had the same problem with a truck a couple days ago. Turned out the map hose had a cut in it.

Checked the map hose and it looks fine... I did run a scan on it and now i have the P0284 Code... #8 Cylinder contribution/balance code which from what i've seen and read means my injector is jazzed up.. Thing is the truck doesn't ever smoke or run funny that i can tell. As well as the P1000 code but i'm assuming the injector is making that come up not letting it complete it's system checks... WTF!?!?

I see The P1000 a lot. I would start looking into mechanical aspects on why its not building enough boost...if you have ruled out tuning and electrical... My hottest tunes with my stock injector/turbo setup made 33-35psi max.

I'm running RCD tunes. But only the street one so i dont think it would hit 33-35 lbs. But my cruising boost is 7-9lbs at 55+ MPH... Does that sound wrong?

7-9psi does sound a little high to me for 55 mph. If you were to say it was that at 70ish mph, I would say it is just right. My stock turbo use to run 5-7psi at 55mph and 8-9psi at 70.

I've been having problems with my fan clutch ever since I did my egr delete. I bought a new set of tunes from IDP to take care of it, and the fan has kicked in a few times, which is a big improvement over before, but it still doesn't run like it used to, and doesn't stay on with the a/c engaged which already cost me an accumulator, flush and charge.

My truck is an 06, anybody have a spare valve they would be willing to send me?
