I had an autometer pyrometer but switched to stewart warner gauges when I got my 4 pod pillar.
the probe is mounted on the downpipe right before it bends to go under the firewall.
the autometer gauge always read about 800* (give or take) on the highway turning about 2000-2200 rpm.
but now my stewart warner gauge is reading about 600* in the same rpm range.
which one is more accurate?
Truck has stock turbo with a wicked wheel, baby swamps injectors, regulated return (regulated at 65 psi), 6637 intake, 3"downpipe to 6" stacks,
chip was on highway econ setting in both instances.
thanks in advance

Cruising my truck is around 5-600*, with the probe in the DP. Really hoping i get time next week to have a work day and get it put in the manifold.

Move the probe to the manifold.....temps in the dp are inaccurate.

I know it should be in the manifold. but how often do those probes break and cause a disaster?
I do plan on moving it whenever I can find the time I was just curious for now until I can get it relocated.

my truck idles at about 350 and cruises at 65, 1700 rpm about 450-500 and at 80 its about 650-700, according to my isspro ev2's your truck seems to run kind of hot. but mine is stock other than the chip

also ive had my pyro in since last july and about 20k later ive had zero issues, i drilled and tapped in the little flat spot right at the end of the drivers side manifold.

when the new manifolds go on i'll be moving it. there's no sense in drilling and tapping into it now when they'll just come off in a few weeks
