Just out of curiousity, are the spray angles the same for all of these injectors? I know some of the dodge guys were swapping nozzles to a lower angle to run more timing and keep the "spray" in the piston bowl. I'm assuming there all the same angle but I figured I'd ask.

Yeah i agree, thanks mike and everyone who made the actual nozzle test happen. Glad to see this follow up so quickly.

Seams as tho every nozzle needs tested now LOL

Not necessarily, I personally, after this test, will now be sending our 30 and 60% nozzles up to be flowed (just like our 100%). Then they will all be referred by LPM. And that will be how all the nozzles sold by Midwest Diesel will be advertised. True factual numbers. Even though we were close on percentage, 110% (actual) 100% (advertised). I have had a long time hate for how nozzles were rated HP, % etc. I think that the only honest way to really portray them is by LPM.

I've never got over the whole cummins 100hp nozzle thing either. I always ask those guys what their injectors flow. They just look at you funny and say "100hp"......

good question. but i get the feeling there may have been a nozzle "issue" in your case because your results were so drastic. but maybe the difference is larger on a smaller nozzle. i think that test should happen too. real world on a truck.

Sure thing on the testing, just let me know who to ship them to. What issues could they have though? According to the contribution test everything was firing evenly, not like one or more was partially blocked.

Great idea for sure!
Are all these 6 hole aftermarket nozzles extrude honed?

Some are. But most of them like the ones Midwest, MPD, and I carry are the same brand and are brand new performance cut nozzles not extrude honed stockers. Unless someone wants a off size that is not offered on a new performance cut.
