Variable geometry turbocharger. The turbochargers on the 03-07 6.0 use a set of vanes in the exhaust side of the turbocharger to change the effective aspect ratio, meaning that they provide optimum boost at lower rpm and have less lag than a comparable fixed geometry turbocharger. The 2015- newer 6.7 also uses a VGT turbocharger.

What I meant here is that the 2015- newer trucks use the same style turbocharger as the 03-07, being that it's essentially a Powermax. I was tired and didn't feel like mentioning that the 08-10 had one VGT and one fixed geometry turbocharger that operated sequentially and that the 11-14 trucks used a VGT that was had two compressor wheels. I'm sorry for any confusion, OP.
