My bro ran it without a regulator for a while and it worked fine. Not the best setup but it still works fine.

HMMM..... I plan on running some 190/100 and I already have a pretty big turbo. I suppose he ended up having to go with a R/R system ? I dont like taking a chance on burning up my injectors or anything else.

The air dog regulator does not eliminate the dead head design of the 6.0 fuel system, as it only feeds the injectors through the front banjos, and still dead ends in the rear of the head. Therefore it only regulates psi drop attnt of the heads, not the furthest point from the pump where it will drop psi first (your back two injectors). The regulated return makes it so that your fuel pump is constantly flowing fuel through the head and now is regulated after the heads which keeps 100% even psi on all 8.

Have you measured pressure at the front and back of the heads?

DD. im also running a rear crossover line so the fluid isnt dead heading in the back of the cylinder. And you are removing the spring from the fuel bowl or the Ad ?
Rear crossover does not do anything about dead heading.

Yes- with a gauge at the test port at the bowl and a gauge on the aeromotive test port after the heads. Guess which drops first?

I contacted Airdog and this is what the tech rep said about using the AD2 as a reg return "We usually suggest to run the regulated return as to better control the pressures. Our pump was never designed to be the only regulator in the system and was only designed to regulate itself. Not to say it will not work but we never did the testing that way" That being said I guess its time for a R/R on my truck

Make sure you catch the vanilla ice thread in the 6.0 aftermarket section he's running the stage 3 race fuel bowl delete kit.

Cut off tool, grinder, and flapper wheel work too. LOL makes things quite a bit cleaner and easier to remove considering a harness runs between them.

Sure, I wish I had better pictures of cutting it off and cleaning it up as well. But my camera (phone) was acting up. That's the only picture I have but I will snap one later today of the finished product.
