Fuel guage only went half way

I just put 30 gallons in my truck from a quarter of a tank and when i cranked the truck the guage only went up to a little over half is this an easy fix or has this even happened to anybody on here???

Not a 6.4, but my wifes truck will do that sometimes if the truck is shut off while fueling. But within a few miles it goes up to where it should. Someone who knows more are the 6.4's will chime in and be able to help you out if the gauge is still stuck.

Sometimes they need another gauge cycle to read right or a drive. Pretty rare but all of my trucks have done it to me before...even my brand new one

My gf's f150 will do that if I fill it up running, but if I switch it off and fill up it acts fine

Ya mines done that to me no big deal next time you get in it should be fine.

Ya its back to normal now after the truck sat at an idle for about 5 min it went all the way to full thanks guys!
