Are the upgraded fuel line clamps really worth the extra money with bigger pump(s)? Ive heard they dont really do any good and ive also heard many people wouldnt go without them. Thoughts?

my truck with dual fulers has non at all, the lines vibrate bad on certain tunes an make some loud harmonics, im going to try something to help hold them but i dont know if i have much hope. From what i have seen the clamps do not last long, and they dont really helps with the audible sound the lines make.

SOOOO i dont know LOL

With an industrial pump we were cracking lines every 1500 miles on the nose. I tried all sorts of different things to keep them from cracking with no luck. Since using the industrial clamps the truck has gone 10k miles so far with out issue.

Has anyone tried herculining/bedlining the clamps or fuel lines to keep the harmonics down? If i were to get them i think i would coat them in a herculiner to see if that helped. but if theyre not necessary and a waste of money i wont bother.

Mike, thats very interesting. thats probably the first time ive heard of fuel lines cracking from not having clamps. I thought they were mainly to keep noise down.

I see, Wasnt aware these lines were that easy to bust. what if you wrapped the lines in some sort of cloth, like exhaust wrap? would that quiet them down?

The mechanic that worked on my truck wrapped my lines in some kind of heat shrink wrap and the humming or harmonica sound went away.

I paid a $150 for 2 Industrial fuel line clamps and it was the biggest waste of money.

Stock hpfp? These were built to stop the lines from bursting when a modded pump is installed. When used for the right application they work I havnt burst a line yet.

Yes, stock HPFP.

I tried them to see if they would get rid of the harmonic issue I was having before with the stock clamps. I have ported fuel rails and a stock HPFP, and I have the worst harmonic issue due to the rails. I am about to put stock rails and stock clamps back on, and replace the fuel lines....again. I'm tired of listening to it.

I'm not blaming the Industrial fuel line clamps at all. I do think they are WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY over priced for what they are, but I don't think they are fault for anything. I tested them basically for something that most people don't experience. It didn't work, so I am going to eliminate the issue altogether.

Heat shrink is a great idea. definitely going to do that, sounds like the clamps are needed with more fuel.

Yes it worked great. The humming noise was so bad before the wrap that my wife said she was embarrassed to drive the truck in public haha.

I feel this way quite often. It's the worst it has ever been now too because of the way the II clamps position the fuel lines. Drivers side is all over the heat shield, even after it was modified quite a bit.

That sucks man. Hopefully you get it all worked out. Mine was humming for a week and that was one week to long!
