I just loaded the race tune, does anyone get that rpm hang when they release the throttle. Sort of like sticking. Not sure if its related to not learning yet. Only about 5miles on the tune.

I have this too. Its like the rpms hang up then spike and fall back off. I emailed Matt about this. He said he has seen this from time to time with the stock trans but a lot more with the built trannys. I have been running the race file for a couple weeks now and it still does it every time I slow down.

do you mean it is downshifting? or trying to accelerate when you let off the pedal?

on mine its like the truck takes a second to drop the rpm when letting out of the throttle. itll hang for a second, then drop a bit and then drop to idle rpm.

I guess? I've only driven like 2 12v's. idk..

All cummins do it specially tuned except if they are efi live tuned they do not. It is like rpms take 3 seconds to come down after you lift off the pedal. Stock cummins trucks do it too

could it be the fact that the converter is just staying locked longer than stock when you let out of it or is it actually still accelerating?

If I accelerate and get up to 2000 rpm and give it at least half throttle mine will stick up to about 5 seconds. Only occurs when it is below 50 degrees and engine is not completely warmed up. It is worse on higher HP programs. Occurs when using sct with or without custom tunes including Kemp and RCD. My truck is a stick.

i dont think this happens on my tunes or at least it hasnt been reported. with my converter lockup it stays locked when you release the throttle so if you had to pedal it it would already be locked and ready.

If I'm not mistaken his is a manual trans if I didnt miss read. Just thought I would point out since I'm trying to pick up a manual 6.4 and I so far am dead set on your tunes but I hated that rail pressure hang on common rail cummins engines.. Hope you can get it all worked out for everyone. Question will you be offering live tuning? I plan to go much much further than bolts ons at some point and would really like to have it custom tuned for my truck. Mad props on an excellent power making tune with little to no smoke!
